It's a penalty in which a defensive player makes an illegal contact with the QB after the latter has thrown the ball. The penalty is 10 or 15 yards, depending on the league, and an automatic 1st Down for the offense.

👉🏼 He's a young person with a lot of experience. He played on special teams in College, a fact that will make him contribute a lot as a coordinator. He's a good connoisseur of European football. In 2019 he was a Wroclaw Panthers' staff member.

That the term 'Combine' to define the event that brings together a serie of aspiring players to be part of the league became popular in 1985 when the different athletic demonstrations for coaches throughout the country were combined into one.

Also in ancient Rome young candidates for legionaries had to pass tests of anatomical constitution (weight & height), physical condition (running, swimming and endurance) and skills (handling weapons) to be part of the legions.

🙌🏼 Doug Semones is our new Defensive Coordinator! 🙌🏼

He stands out for having been part of the coaching staff that was in charge of the Yale Bulldogs' defensive line, in the NCAA Division I.

The 59-year-old coach from Utah also worked in the Occidental College, where he built one of the best and most succesful programs in the NCAA Division III. He's a tremendously respected figure in California by all those people linked to football.
